Deadpan Labs — This Site
A narrative, scroll-driven site where a three.js "examination chamber" dramatizes the studio's promise: an idea is pressed out, scanned, run through a machine, and fabricated into a product.
Prove the craft, don't describe it.
A studio that both builds and markets products needed a site that demonstrated the craft instead of claiming it. The concept: make the homepage itself the demo — an idea enters, gets examined, and rolls out as a product — running as a real-time 3D scene that still loads fast, stays accessible, and converts.
- A scroll-driven three.js "examination chamber": a figure presses a button, an idea orb rolls out, is scanned, travels a Rube-Goldberg machine, and is fabricated into a product
- Built in Next.js with a ~1,100-line vanilla-three scene driving its own render loop and scroll navigation
- A "Start a project" CTA that dives the camera into the chamber and opens an inquiry form whose answers light the scene up live
- A data-driven Work portfolio with draft/published gating, a full brand system (flask mark, favicon, OG), and complete technical SEO + GEO
The build is the portfolio piece.
A live production site that turns positioning into an interactive proof of craft — the homepage is a working demonstration of 3D web engineering, the inquiry flow converts interest into structured leads, and a reusable content system lets the team publish new work by editing a single file.
